How are historians going to treat the House Leadership (or lack there of) of Speaker Boehner. This is not the first time he has tried to negotiate in good faith with the White House only to be called on the carpet, given a good chastisement and sent back to say "sorry they said I can't do that." He is prone to emotional displays, I am thinking he cries himself to sleep at night thinking about the legacy he is leaving as Speaker. How embarrassing it must be to put "Plan B" out there and have to pull it for lack of votes from his own caucus.
More baffling than anything else with this whole situation is the fact that the stand to not allow tax increases will result in tax increases on all. I don't think the Conservatives get a pass here, they have to file just like the rest of us. The old saying "careful what you wish for - you might get it" comes immediately to mind.
Good night and Gob Bless!
