Pretty much for me this is why a vote for Romney is a vote against the hopes and dreams of the vast majority of Americans. Wealth in America has gone only to the top tier or wealthiest among us over the last three decades. Chances of general improvement across the whole spectrum as you can see has been relatively non existent. Since the years of Reagan the middle class and poor have had to work longer and harder just to remain at or slightly above the level they started. College for middle class kids is achievable if they sell their souls and assume massive debt before ever starting in the private sector. Repealing Obama Care will send us back to millions with no health care and for those average Americans that have insurance they are one catastrophic illness away from bankruptcy.
Romney and Ryan represent the political ideology that has put this model in place and will do nothing to change it. Obama's message represents a focus on middle America. The first term did not move the needle very much but it was a beginning and a lot was accomplished. We all need to look honestly at what has happened in America since the early '80s and think for ourselves the best way for all Americans to move forward. To me that means a government that provides assistance to all especially those middle class families and poor that with some help could gain the upward mobility that improves all of society. We are only as strong as the least among us.

Your vote matters. It means a going back to the governance of trickle down policies that give us the results seen in the chart above or a continuance of the change to empower the vast majority of Americans since the election of 2008. The purchasing power of the vast middle class and lower income families in America if so empowered along with affordabable access to quality education and a health care system that benefits all will provide the opportunities for business to boom, the economy to grow, government revenues to increase so debt can be addressed. Additionally, those currently shut out will be able to realistically persue the American Dream.
